Jewellery On The Wall Concept

Stretching past the traditional boundary of jewellery being something to be worn, Jewellery on the Wall is a whole new concept. With it, the art goes from something around your neck or on your finger to be something that is in your space. It acts as a decoration and an accent to a location, which puts it on par with traditional visual arts by being something to be displayed as more than just a personal ornament.

These panels are created using a process I developed. They were designed in black and white abstract drawing, then fabricated using semi-precious stones, copper foil and different wires (using copper, brass, and stainless steel) worked into shapes.

Flowers In Time

This panel was created by focusing on the stones first, then drawing a design around them. I then proceeds to bring it to life by using copper foil, and wires of brass, copper and stainless steel. Once the look of the piece has been established, I proceeds to fuse the pieces together, onto a Plexiglas piece, using a technique that was invented by myself. These can even be made with precious metals if desired.

Candle Creation

Candle Creation are created by improvising the design. I work with the Bay of Fundy Agates, a stone of the maritimes; also a well known local gem. These panels give every room a nice atmoshpere. These can be custom made to the specification of the customer.

Jewellery on the Wall Panels (From Big to Small. (4'x2' to 12'x6'))

First the design is drawn on paper, then I proceed by artistically figuring out where my copper foil is going to be and where the color wires are going to go (copper, brass, stainless steel). Every aspect of the creation is figured out before the pieces are fabricated. These panels are wearing a variety of colored stones. From abstract, to actual existing celebrities, or aimed for specific mythologies (Acadian, Asian, Native, etc), these panels can be fabricated to accomadate any subject, and can be made with or without frames.

Cleaning Tips

To wash you will need:
1 Bowl of warm water
1 Bowl of warm water with a little soap
A blow dryer
3 Pieces of T-Shirt like material or cotton

Steps:
1) Gently wash piece in circular motion with soapy water.
2) Rinse with clear water using a cloth.
3) Blow dry as you gently wipe piece until dry.
